Sanispeed: High-Performance Pumping for Commercial Kitchens

In commercial kitchens, efficient waste disposal is critical for maintaining hygiene, operational efficiency, and compliance with health regulations. Large volumes of wastewater containing grease, food particles, and detergents can quickly overwhelm standard drainage systems, leading to blockages, slow drainage, and costly plumbing issues.

The Sanispeed grey water pump is a high-performance grey water pump designed specifically for demanding commercial environments such as restaurants, cafés, hotels, and catering businesses. It ensures fast and reliable drainage, even when handling greasy wastewater and heavy daily usage.

Why Sanispeed is the Ideal Solution for Commercial Kitchens

Case Study: How Sanispeed Improved Efficiency in a Busy Restaurant

Background

A well-known Italian restaurant in Mumbai faced recurring drainage issues due to the high grease content in its wastewater. The kitchen relied on multiple dishwashers, prep sinks, and high-temperature cleaning equipment, leading to frequent clogs and slow drainage.

Challenges Faced

• Existing plumbing could not handle the grease and food debris.

• Frequent backups disrupted kitchen operations, causing delays and hygiene concerns.

• The cost of frequent pipe cleaning and maintenance was unsustainable.

Solution: Installing the Saniflo Sanispeed

The restaurant installed Sanispeed as an alternative to costly plumbing upgrades.

Implementation Steps

• Sanispeed was installed under the main kitchen sink, where most wastewater was generated.

• Dishwashers and prep sinks were connected to the system, ensuring direct and fast drainage.

• A grease trap was used in combination to further enhance performance.

Results and Benefits

✅ Immediate Improvement in Drainage Speed – No more water pooling in sinks or slow drainage.
✅ Reduced Plumbing Costs – No need for frequent pipe cleaning.
✅ Continuous Operation Without Interruptions – The kitchen remained functional even during peak hours.
✅ Better Hygiene and Cleanliness – Eliminated standing water and minimized odors.

Best Practices for Maintaining the Sanispeed in Commercial Kitchens

To ensure optimal performance and longevity, regular maintenance of the Sanispeed is essential. Here are a few tips:

1. Regular Cleaning and Flushing

• Run hot water through the system daily to prevent grease buildup.

• Use a grease-dissolving solution periodically to maintain smooth operation.

2. Install a Grease Trap for Maximum Efficiency

• A grease trap can reduce the amount of fat and oil entering the pump, extending its lifespan.

3. Inspect Pipes and Connections

• Check hoses and fittings regularly to prevent leaks.

• Ensure the discharge pipe remains clear to allow unrestricted water flow.

4. Avoid Overloading the System

• Do not dispose of large food scraps or solid waste directly into the sink.

• Ensure that dishwashers and sinks are used within recommended water flow rates.
